AS A RESULT, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY RESIDENTS MUST NOW RE-REGISTER IN ORDER TO RECEIVE ALERT CHATHAM TOWNSHIP (ACT Now!) EMERGENCY ALERTS FROM CHATHAM TOWNSHIP.

When registering for ACT Now! you can elect to receive alerts from Chatham Township, as well as Morris County, by phone, e-mail or text message. You will receive the following type of alerts, including:
- Emergency Alerts
- General Alerts
- Traffic Accidents or Detours
- Road Closures
- Severe Weather Alerts
- Power/Water Outages
- Crime Alerts/Police Activity
- Missing Persons, or
- Miscellaneous Community Alerts
HOW IT WORKS
Messages will be sent to all standard voice and text communication devices that you have registered, including landline phones, cell phones, e-mail.

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP e-NEWS
The Chatham Township "e-News" is an an email communication service that registered residents receive when the Chatham Township website is updated. The emails list what has been updated and a link to the new information in included.
Chatham e-News is an "Opt-In" mailing list. You must register to receive e-mail notices. You may unsubscribe at any time. Every e-mail notice sent out contains a link at the bottom for you to unsubscribe. It should also be noted that these lists are considered a public record under New Jersey's Open Public Records Act, and the township may be required to provide the list if requested.
