According to the Morris County Mosquito Commission, as of 9-23-2019 there have been no positive results in the south eastern portion of Morris County and specifically in Chatham Twp. Continued ongoing monitoring, testing and treatment will be in effect for the foreseeable future and until the weather changes with a killing frost. At that time, larvicide treatment will continue as needed in identified areas of activity thought the county.

While some uptick of EEE has been noted in New Jersey from under 10 to around 20 over the summer, the upcoming cooler weather with freezing temperature curtail the growth in October, which is just around the corner.
